SUBJECT: AiPP Committee Motions
The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to provide you with an update on the Art in
Public Places Committee recommendation regarding the request for an LGBTQ Public Art
installation that celebrates diversity.
On November 21, 2017, the Art in Public Places Committee met and reviewed the request,
per referral from the City Commission, to discuss a public art installation that celebrates
diversity in our community as requested by the LGBTQ Advisory Committee. The Art in
Public Places Committee made a unanimous motion to defer the item until a funding source
and funding amount is identified and provided to the Art in Public Places Committee.
