for young voices. It will also serve as an example of the life-changing ability participating in the arts can
have through our alums and current members. There is also a special musical presentation planned for

Life will be unique to the children participating. They will sing with and for each other. This project

initiative will help us make closer contact with the Miami Beach community and hopefully leave an
imprint that will sustain and enhance our future relationships there. All Together Now is geared primarily
toward families with school-age children.
The MCC community service project All Together Now is the MCC presentation of free community
sing-alongs. It was started in October 1997 as a response to a call by MENC: The National Association
for Music Education to "Get America Singing... Again." Noted song leader Alice Parker bemoans the
lack of community singing in the country. This project of the MCC is presented in three geographically
diverse locations in Miami-Dade County—Homestead,Miami Beach and Little Havana. Its two main
objectives are to (1) Promote community singing by school age children and adults all across Miami-
Dade County and (2) Promote the preservation of songs that reflect our multi-cultural heritage. Music
Director Timothy A. Sharp leads the sing-along.A chorus from the MCC sings on the program and
families are invited to join the fun-filled music making. Free family sing-alongs titled Sing Miami have
also been presented for the past five seasons at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of
Miami-Dade County. Master Song Leader Nick Page and MCC Music Director Timothy A. Sharp have
led the singing. Special guest have included the Delou Africa Dance Ensemble,a group that has also
appeared in Miami Beach with the MCC.
