SUBJECT: Mayor's 41" Street Blue Ribbon Co ittee Motions
The purpose of this Letter to the Commission ("LTC") is to inform the Commission of six
(6) motions passed by the Mayor's Blue Ribbon 41" Street Committee during their
February 14, 2019, meeting.
Members present: Seth Gadinsky (Chair), Betty Behar, Michael Burnstine, Yechiel
Ciment, Francisco Diez-Rivas, Eric Hankins, Jerri Hertzberg Bassuk, Robin Jacobs (Vice
Chair), and Jeremy Wachtel.

1) MOTION: To prioritize the use of the $100,000 Mid-Beach Quality of Life
Funds on year-round lighting on the 41" Street corridor and a pilot parklet
activation.

involved in the best interest of 41st Street.

Attached is the draft LTC for the 41'Street motions for your review. Please also note that the Committee has decided to
prioritize lighting and a pilot parklet (see below) over the $50k the Commission approved for a temporary artistic
installation. You may know we released a call for responses, due Feb 28th, but haven't received any interest to date. I've
shared the below parklet design with Adrian and he thinks it is doable.
