SUBJECT: FIRE ON THE FOURTH PROGRAMMING AND FIREWORKS
The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to inform the Mayor and Commission of the City of the Fire on the
Fourth Festival produced by the City of Miami Beach, taking place on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at North Beach
Bandshell Park on Collins and 73rd Street.
The outdoor festival will feature day-long family friendly entertainment and activities including rock climbing wall,
bungee jump station, water obstacle course and slide, bounce house, face painting, arts and crafts and much more,
and be sure to get your photo taken with the official Miami Beach Fire on the Fourth Lifeguard chair!
The City will, again, partner with Operation Gratitude, as part of the City of Kindness initiative, to collect letters of
gratitude and support for our Nation's heroes. Throughout the day, attendees of all ages will be invited to write
letters of gratitude and support to new recruits , first responders and active duty men and women .
A new edition to the festival is the Top Dog Culinary Challenge . We have invited local gourmet restaurants to take
an American classic ... the hot dog , and create a one-of-a-kind, delicious and eye-catching delight for a special panel
to judge and celebrate . A variety of food trucks will provide additional gastronomic options ranging from pizza,
sausage and peppers and lobster rolls to gelato and ice cream with t itle sponsor, Coca-Cola, beverages.
Other entertainment includes live tunes spun by DJ Joey Brooks throughout the day followed by the sounds of our
dynamic South Florida band, ReMix . The evening will conclude with a dazzling fireworks show only Miami Beach
can produce.

*Alcoholic beverage service will be available. Government issued ID required to obtain a wristband for those 21 years of age and older.
GIVE-A-WAYS
There will be lots of fun give-a-ways, from Stars and Stripes sun visors and bobble head bands, red,
white and blue necklaces, and foam Statue of Liberty crowns .
The Mayor and Commission will have a dedicated beverage service area within the Sponsor I VIP space,
which can be accessed by wristband only. Please see Matt Kenny, on site, to get your wristbands.
PARKING:
We will have one (1) dedicated parking space each, for the Mayor and Commission at the 73rd Street and
Collins Avenue lot. Security on site will have a list of Mayor and Commissioner names to access .
SPECIAL SHUTTLE SERVICE:
A free , dedicated shuttle service will operate from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. between the 42nd Street garage and
the North Beach Bandshell, departing every 30 minutes to provide additional parking options and easy
access to the event. In addition, attendees can use the free citywide trolley service operating from 6 a.m .
to midnight.
