Event: Special Abilities Program New Year's Party
Date: January 4, 2020
Time: 1 :30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Location: North Shore Park Youth Center (501 72' Street)
The Special Abilities program will kick off 2020 with a celebration for program participants, and
their friends and families, where everyone will be treated to lunch, fun and dancing.
Event: 3 on 3 Rec4Teens Basketball Program Begins
Date: January 8, 2020
Time: 3:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Location: Scott Rakow Youth Center (2700 Sheridan Avenue)
A 3 on 3 basketball league for teens in grades 9- 12, wh ich includes a 16-game regular season,
playoffs, uniforms and prizes to league winners.
Event: Outdoor Adventure Club Rec4Teens Program Begins
Date: January 1 O, 2020
Time: 3:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Location: Scott Rakow Youth Center (2700 Sheridan Avenue)
A free program for teens in grades 9- 12, wh ich aims to promote healthy lifestyles and
environmental awareness through outdoor activities.
Event: Arts for Learning Art Exhibition
Date: January 1 O, 2020
Time: 3:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Location: Flamingo Park (999 11 Street)
The Flamingo Park After-school program, in collaboration with the Arts for Learning program, will
display art pieces created by participants at an exhibition where family and friends are invited to
view the artwork.
Event: Winter Athletic Programming Begins
Date: January 27, 2020
Time: 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Location: Flamingo Park (999 11th St), Scott Rakow Youth Center (2700 Sheridan
Ave) & North Shore Park (501 72nd St)
Wi nter athletic programming begins January 27, Programs offered include Little Baller Soccer,
Mini-Soccer Clinics, Travel Soccer Development, and Primers and Juniors Basketball.
