S U B JE C T : Evaluation Committee Relative to equest for Proposals (RFP) No. 2020-007-JC, for
Security Officer Services
The purpose of this L TC is to update the Mayor and City Commission on the status of Request for
Proposals (RFP) No. 2020-007-JC, which seeks to establish an agreement wi th a qualified firm(s) to
provide the City with security officer services. On October 16, 2019, the Administration notified the
City Commission that the City Manager had appointed an evaluation committee to review proposals
received pursuant to the RFP. However, it is necessary to make changes to the Evaluation
Committee in order to replace two members who are not available to serve on the Committee.
The City received proposals pursuant to this RFP on Monday, December 9, 2019. The responsive
proposals will be reviewed by the Evaluation Committee, in accordance with the criteria established
in the RFP. I am considering making the following changes to the composition of the Evaluation
Committee:
• Sonia Bridges, Division Director Risk Management, Human Resources Department
• Clarise Ferguson, Deputy PSCD Administrator, Public Safety Communications Division
• Sixto Martínez, Manager, Security Operations, Miami Beach Police Department
• Lt . Javier Matías, Special Events Unit Commander, Miami Beach Police Department
• Juan Mestas, Assistant Fire Chief, Fire Department
• Elizabeth Miro, Assistant Director, Property Management Department
• Ramon Suarez, Human Resources Administrator Il, Human Resources Department
