Event: FSA Tutoring
Date: Tuesdays (through the end of testing season}
Time: 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Location: After-school Teen Club at Nautilus Middle School (4301 N Michigan Ave}
The Nautilus After-school program is dedicated to providing participants with the academic
support necessary to succeed in school and in life. The Florida Standards Assessments require
that each student's progress in language arts and mathematics be measured annually. A
bilingual, trained, experienced tutor will offer sample test questions, testing strategies, fun
games and interactive exercises during weekly FSA sessions to ensure participants have all
tools necessary for success. This service is offered through the Miami Beach All Star Program
and Children Trust Grant.

Learn to Swim weekend programs are available to Miami Beach residents ages 6 months and
up. Programs offered include Aqua Babies, Infant-Toddler, Pre-School, Level 1, Level 2 and
Teen/Adult swim classes. All registration and payments handled through RecTrac, our online
registration and payment system. You must have completed a profile, have no outstanding
balance, and verified your Miami Beach residency in person at one of our sites (SRYC, NSPYC

Registra tion for spring athletic program ming begins March 9. Programs offered include mini-
soccer clinics, travel soccer development, little ballers basketball and soccer. Accounts must be

Event: Free Infant & Toddler Water Safety Program Begins
Date: March 10, 2020 (Tuesdays & Thursdays)
Time: 10:00 a.m. -10:30 a.m.
Location: Flamingo Park Pool (999 11 St), & Normandy Isle Pool (7030 Trouville
Esplanade)
The Free Infant & Toddler Water Safety class is offered to Miami Beach residents ages 6
months - 5 years, Tuesdays and Thursdays from March 10 through May 31. Swim diapers for
all non-potty-trained children is mandatory and adults are required in the pool with child. For

Event: Building Blocks of Child Development
Date: March 1 O, 2020

Location: North Shore Park Youth Center (501 727° Street)
Miami Beach Parks and Recreation, in partnership with UM and The Children's Trust Parent
Club, will host a parenting workshop where parents are introduced to five core areas for child
development and may seek additional support. At the workshop, caregivers receive free
childcare for children 3-12 years old, snacks, and entry into a raffle drawing with the completion
of a short post-workshop survey. Workshops in Spanish and English will run simultaneously.
Event: Summer Camp Registration Opens for Miami Beach Residents
Date: March 16, 2020
Time: 8:30 a.m.
Accounts must be current to register. All registration and payments handled through RecTrac.

Event: After-school St. Patrick's Day Carnival
Date: March 17, 2020

Location: All after-school and Teen Club locations
All participants in After-school, Teen Club, and Play Time programs will wear their favorite
green shirts and enjoy treats, while they test the luck of Irish on different carnival style games.
Event: Art Galley Night
Date: March 20, 2020
Time: 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Location: North Shore Park (501 72' Street)
The City of Miami Beach Parks and Recreation Department will host an Art Gallery Night where
adult program participants from the ceramics and fine arts program will display their artwork.
Refreshments and snacks will be served. All are welcome to attend.
Event: Social Club St. Patrick's Day Party (Special Abilities Program)
Date: March 21, 2020
Time: 1 :30 p.m.- 3:30 p.m.
Location: North Shore Park (501 72" Street)
Special abilities participants can sport their best green outfits while enjoying a delicious lunch,
dancing and treats.

The University of Miam i -- Nova Southeastern University Center for Autism and Related
Disabilities (UM-NSU CARD) is teaming up with Miami Beach Parks and Recreation to host the
13" An nual Spring Surf Camp for ch ildren with autism spe ctrum disorder (ASD), from Mon day,
March 23° through Friday, March 27. Participa ting ch ildren will spen d the week focusing on
swimming skills, basic oceanography, meteorology, open water surfing and most importantly, their
own abilities. The educational component of camp will be held at South Pointe Park and the actual
surfing component will be held on the beach, adjacent to the park.
Event: Spring Break Tennis Camp
Date: March 23-27, 2020

Location: Flamingo Park Tennis Center (1200 Jefferson Avenue)
The City of Miami Beach Parks and Recreation Department is offering a Spring Break Tennis
Day Camp. The cost will be $60.00 per day. Please call the Flamingo Park Tennis Center at
