This Letter to the Mayor and Commission is to provide information on a donation being
planned by the Miami Beach Police Department to Miami Beach Senior High School. The
MBPD Training Unit has recently updated and replaced the athletic floor mats used in
defensive tactics training. These older mats are currently in storage and no longer being
utilized in any way by the MBPD.
The Miami Beach Senior High School is currently in need of additional wrestling mats for
their Athletic Department. In the spirit of being good community partners, the MBPD would
like to donate this equipment to Miami Beach Senior High School (MBSHS) for use by the
MBSHS Wrestling Team.
