Morales, City Manager November 19, 2020 Opening of City Hall for Passport and Bus Pass Customers The purpose of this Letter to Commission (LTC) is to provide the Mayor and City Commission with an update regarding in-person services provided at the Finance Department’s Customer Service Center (CSC), located at 1755 Meridian Avenue. Currently, CSC transactions for licensing, utilities, parking and liens statements are being conducted and completed online. These transactions comprise 99% of the CSC and Call Center’s workload. The only business processes that are not being conducted online by the City are those functions where the City operates as a satellite office for another government agency, like Passports and Golden Pass and Patriot bus passes. I am pleased to announce that beginning next Monday on November 23 rd, the CSC will be available Monday through Friday by appointment only, to provide Passport services and process applications for the Golden Pass and Patriot bus pass program. Appointments can be scheduled by calling the Call Center at 305 -604-CITY or online by using the following link: https://cmbappt.miamibeachfl.gov/naoa/index.jsp. For those customers with an urgent need for a passport, The U.S. Department of State Miami Passport Agency, located at 1501 Biscayne Boulevard, is processing applications by appointment only for individuals traveling within 72 hours (3 business days). Should you have any inquiries pertaining to the proposed opening, please feel free to contact John Woodruff, Chief Financial Officer.
