SUBJECT: TRANSPORTATION PROJECTS AWARDED $6.5 MILLION GRANT FUNDING
The Transportation and Mobility team is pleased to report various recent grant awards totaling
approximately $6.5 million from the Florida Department of Transportation (FOOT) and the Miami
Dade Transportation Planning Organization (TPO).
The following mobility projects in Miami Beach have been recently awarded grant funding and are
included in the FOOT Tentative Five-Year Work Program:
•South Beach Trolley Service: $1,250,000 in FY 2022
•17 Street Dedicated Bicycle and Transit Lanes: $1,326,5000 in FY 2025/2026
•22/23 Street Complete Streets: $1,516,000 in FY 2025
•Chase Avenue/34 Street Shared-Use Path: $570,110 in FY 2025
•Mount Sinai Multimodal SMART Terminal: $1,787,000 in FY 2022/2023
The number of selected projects and award amounts are reflective of the hard work and
collaboration among the Transportation and Mobility Department, Office of Grants and
Intergovernmental Affairs, FOOT, and TPO.
