Amendment No. 7 Agreement with The School Board of Miami-Dade County (2025) Docusign Envelope ID:B4106CC2-FD45-4083-B40C-6B0810A12296 Docusign Envelope ID;CEC2F357-7439-40A4-9BE0-9A7D17A07645 AMENDMENT NO.7 TO AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE SCHOOL BOARD OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY,MIAMi, FLORIDA AND THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,FLORIDA This Amendment No. 7 (the"Amendment")to the Agreement, dated November 8,20'19, as amended by Amendment No, '1, dated August 19,2020,by Amendment No. 2, dated May 8, 2021, by Amendment No. 3, dated June 18, 2021,end by Amendment No. 4, dated August 5, 2022,and Amendment No, 5 dated July 28,2023,and Amanedment No.6 dated May 27,2024 (collectively, the ''Agreement"), by and between the City of Miami Beach, Florida, a municipal corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State of Florida,having Its principal place of business at 1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida 33130 ("CMB") and The School Board of Miami-Dade County,Miami,Florida,a body corporate and political subdivision of the State of Florida,having its principal place of business at 1450 NE 2nd Avenue Miami,Florida ("M-DCPS"), (CMB and M-DCPS may be individually referred to as a "Party or collectively as "Parties"),Is entered Into this it day of,t- r , ,2024, j RECITALS WHEREAS,on September 11,2019,the Mayor and City Commission adopted Resolution No. 2019-30958,approving an agreement between the City of Miami Beach("CMB")end Miami- Dade County School Board("M-DCPS")to provide dual enrollment courses for the 2019-2020 school year taught at Miami Beach Senior High School (lhe"High School"), and Miami Beach Nautilus Middle School Okla Nautilus Middle School(the"Middle School"),through Miami Dade College ("MDC"), for college credit for 8th grade students attending the Middle School, Miami Beach Fienberg Fisher K-8 center,and for 9th,10th,11th and 12th grade students attending the High School, in an amount not to exceed$28,000.00("City'a Contribution");and approving the funding of the City's Contribution for the 2019-2020 school year from the City's 2018-2019 FY budget;and further approving the City's Contribution to the program for each subsequent school year,subject to funding approval during the City's budgetary process and provided that the City' s contribution amount does not exceed$28,000.00;and WHEREAS, on November 8, 2019, the City and M-DCPS executed an agreement ("Agreement") setting forth the guidelines for the City to support the dual enrollment courses offered at the High School and the Middle Scheel;and WHEREAS, on August 19, 2020, the Parties executed Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement to continue the program for the 2020-2021 school year,as MDC resources permitted; and WHEREAS,on February 10, 2021,the Mayor and City Commission adopted Resolution No. 2021-31572, approving Florida international University("FIU") as an additional provider of dual enrollment courses under the Agreement;and WHEREAS,on May 8,2021,the Parties executed Amendment No.2 to the Agreement to allow OMB to maximize the number of dual enrollment course offerings for the 2020-2021 school year, based upon the approved budget for the program, by adding Fill as an additional educational partner;and • 1 if Docusign Envelope ID: B4106CC2-FD45-4083-B40C-6B0810A12296 Docusign Envelope ID CEC2F357-7439-40A4-9BE0-9A7D17A07645 WHEREAS,on June 18,2021,the Parties executed Amendment No.3 to the Agreement to allow CMB to maximize the number of dual enrolment course offerings for the 2021-2022 school year,based upon the approved budget for the program;and WHEREAS, on April 6, 2022, the Mayor and City Commission adopted Resolution No. 2022.32099,authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement with the University of Florida ("UP)and Miami-Dade County Public Schools(M-DCPS), to provide dual enrollment courses at Miami Beach Senior High School for the 2022-2023 school year, In an amount not to exceed $13,432.00, and every subsequent schoo: year,subject to annual budget approval by the City Commission of the City's contribution for each subsequent school year;and WHEREAS,on August 6,2022,the Parties executed Amendment No,4 to the Agreement to allow CMB to maximize the number of dual enrollment course offerings for the 2022-2023 school year,based upon the approved budget for the program;and WHEREAS,to promote educational opportunities through the dual enrollment program In Miami-Dade County,MDC and M-DCPS entered into the 2023-2024 Dual Enrollment Articulation Agreement in July 2023, which is Incorporated herein by reference and attached hereto as Composite Exhibit A;and WHEREAS, to promote educational opportunities through the dual enrollment program in Miami-Dade County, FIU and M-DCPS entered into the 2023-2024 Dual Enrollment Articulation Agreement in July 2023,which is attached es Exhibit A,and is Incorporated herein by reference and attached hereto as Composite Exhibit A;and t WHEREAS,to promote educational opportunities through the dual enrollment program in Miami-Dade Courtly, UF and M-DCPS entered Into the 2023-2024 Dual Enrollment Arilouletlon Agreement In July 2023,which is attached as Exhibit A,and is incorporated herein by reference and attached hereto as Composite Exhibit A;and WHEREAS,the Dual Enrollment Articulation Agreements with MDC,FIU and UF shall be collectively referred to herein as the"Articulation Agreemen';and 1 WHEREAS,on July 28,2023,the Parties executed Amendment No.5 to the Agreement to allow CMB to maximize the number of dual enrollment course offerings for the 2023-2024 school year,based upon the approved budget for the program;end WHEREAS,on May 27,2024,the Parties executed Amendment No.6 to the Agreement to allow CMB to maximize the number of dual enrollment course offerings for the 2024-2025 school year,based upon the approved budget for the program; NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises and conditions contained herein, and other good and valuable consideration, the sufficiency of which Is hereby acknowledged,CMB and M-DCPS hereby agree to amend the Agreement as follows: 1.
