A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2025-
34047, WHICH SET THE 2026 MEETING DATES FOR THE CITY
COMMISSION, MIAMI BEACH REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY (MBRDA),
AND NORTH BEACH COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
(NBCRA) MEETINGS, BY ADDING THE SECOND AND FINAL FY 2027
BUDGET HEARING ON SEPTEMBER 23, 2026, AT 5:01 P.M.
WHEREAS, Section 2.04 of the Miami Beach City Charter requires the City
Commission to meet at times prescribed by ordinance or resolution; and
WHEREAS, on December 17, 2025, the City Commission adopted Resolution No.
2025-34047, which set the 2026 City Commission, MBRDA, and NBCRA meeting dates, -
and
WHEREAS, during the FY 2027 Commission Budget Retreat held on May 5, 2026,
the Administration presented the required TRIM budget schedule, which includes the
Second Budget Hearing date of September 23, 2026, at 5.01 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, at the retreat, the City Commission directed the City Clerk to place
the Second FY 2027 Budget Hearing on the Consent Agenda for approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission now wishes to amend Resolution No. 2025-
34047 to include the Second FY 2027 Budget Hearing; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that Resolution No. 2025-
34047 is hereby amended to add the Second FY 2027 Budget Hearing, scheduled as
follows: Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 5.01 p.m.

RECOMMENDATION
BACKGROUND/HISTORY
On December 17, 2025, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 2025-34047, setting the
2026 Comm ission/MBRDA/NBCRA meeting dates; that calendar, however, did not include the
Second FY 2027 Budget Hearing.
During the FY 2027 Commission Budget Retreat on May 5, 2026, the Administration presented
the budget development timeline, which establishes the two TRIM/Budget hearings: the first on
September 10, 2026, and the second on September 23, 2026, at 5:01 p.m. The Commission
directed the City Clerk to place the September 23 hearing on the Consent Agenda to ensure
timely scheduling and public notice.
ANALYSIS
To comply with Florida's Truth-in-Millage (TRIM) requirements and maintain consistency with the
adopted FY 2027 budget calendar, staff recommends amending Resolution No. 2025-34047 to
add the Second FY 2027 Budget Hearing on Wednesday. September 23, 2026. at 5:01 p.m. in
the Commission Chambers. This action codifies the Commission's retreat direction to place the
scheduling on Consent, keeps the official calendar current, and ensures the statutory sequence
of budget hearings is met.
