A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 2024-32993
DIRECTING THE CITY ADMINISTRATION TO REMOVE THE RAILING
PREVIOUSLY INSTALLED BY THE CITY ALONG THE WEST END OF
LINCOLN ROAD AND STREET ENDS AT 10TH STREET AND 14TH STREET
TO IMPROVE THE AESTHETIC APPEARANCE OF THIS AREA.
WHEREAS, railing was previously installed by the City at the West end of Lincoln Road
and street ends at 10th Street and 14th Street pursuant to direction provided by the Mayor and
City Commission to the City Administration pursuant to Resolution No. 2024-32993, adopted April
3, 2024; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Commission recognize that this fencing detracts from the
visual quality and aesthetic character of the waterfront; and
WHEREAS, removal of the fencing will improve the appearance of the street end, create
a more welcoming and visually appealing experience for residents and visitors, and enhance
public enjoyment of Biscayne Bay; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Commission desire to direct the City Administration to
remove the fencing to restore the natural openness of the area and ensure that waterfront street
ends are maintained to the highest aesthetic standards.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Commission hereby rescind
Resolution No. 2024-32993 and direct the City Administration to remove the railing previously
installed by the City at the west end of Lincoln Road and street ends at 10th Street and 14th Street
to improve the aesthetic appearance of this area.
