A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, DIRECTING THE CITY ADMINISTRATION TO
DISCONTINUE ANY EFFORTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE PRESENTATION OF
PROPOSED TERMS FOR A NEW MARINA REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AND
THE CORRESPONDING NEW LEASE AT THE JUNE 5, 2026 MEETING OF THE
FINANCE AND ECONOMIC RESILIENCY COMMITTEE; AND FURTHER
WITHDRAWING THE REFERRAL MADE TO THE COMMITTEE BY THE
MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION AT ITS APRIL 22, 2026 CITY COMMISSION
MEETING RELATED TO SAID PROJECT.
WHEREAS, at the April 22, 2026 City Commission meeting, the Mayor and City
Commission referred the presentation of proposed terms for a new marina redevelopment project
and the corresponding new lease to the Finance and Economic Resiliency Committee ("FERC")
for discussion; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission now wishes to discontinue all administrative efforts
associated with preparation of any term sheet or other collateral materials for this project at FERC;
and
WHEREAS, the City Commission further desires to withdraw the April 22, 2026 referral to
FERC in its entirety.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City
Commission hereby direct the City Administration to discontinue any efforts associated with the
presentation of proposed terms for a new marina redevelopment project and the corresponding
new lease at the June 5, 2026 meeting of the Finance and Economic Resiliency Committee; and
further withdraw the referral made to the Committee by the Mayor and City Commission at its
April 22, 2026 meeting related to said project.
