A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
NEGOTIATE AND FINALIZE A SPONSORSHIP AGREEMENT WITH MIAMI
BEACH GARDEN CONSERVANCY, INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,000, TO
SUPPORT THE 2027 ANNUAL FLOWER SHOW PRESENTED BY THE MIAMI
BEACH GARDEN CLUB, WHICH IS SCHEDULED TO BE HELD FROM MARCH
25 TO MARCH 27, 2027; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE THE SPONSORSHIP AGREEMENT IN A FORM
ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY.
WHEREAS, the Miami Beach Garden Club will present the 2027 Annual Flower Show
("Flower Show"), a longstanding community event that highlights horticulture, floral design,
environmental education, and the longstanding tradition of garden -focused programming in Miami
Beach; and
WHEREAS, the Flower Show is presented by the Miami Beach Garden Club and facilitated
through the Miami Beach Botanical Garden, which is operated by the Miami Beach Garden
Conservancy, Inc., a nonprofit organization that partners with the City to provide high -quality
cultural, educational, and community programming; and
WHEREAS, entering into a sponsorship agreement with Miami Beach Garden
Conservancy, Inc. will further the City's cultural, educational, and community engagement goals by
ensuring the continued success of the Annual Flower Show and its benefit to residents and visitors
alike; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to authorize the City Manager to negotiate and
finalize a sponsorship agreement consistent with the terms described herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Commission
hereby authorize the City Manager to negotiate and finalize a sponsorship agreement with Miami
Beach Garden Conservancy, Inc., in the amount of $5,000, to support the 2027 Annual Flower
Show presented by the Miami Beach Garden Club, which is scheduled to be held from March 25 to
March 27, 2027; and authorize the City Manager and City Clerk to execute the sponsorship
agreement in a form acceptable to the City Attorney.
