61-88 RDA I " RESOLUTION NO. 61-88 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI BEACH REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO AWARD A CONTRACT FOR APPRAISAL SER VICES TO DELAHANTY AND ASSOCIATES, INC., (HOWARD J. DELAHANTY, M.A.I. APPRAISER) FOR THE PROPERTIES NEEDED IN BLOCK 53 OF OCEAN BEACH ADDITION NO.3, KNOWN AS THE NEW RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT AT THE OLD POLICE STATION SITE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MIAMI BEACH REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY; WHEREAS, Blocks 78 and 80 of Ocean Beach Addition No.3, have been identified as a suitable redevelopment site for the construction of attractively-designed residential sites; and WH ER EAS, the Redevelopment Agency staff recommends the inclusion of Block No. 53 into the new residential development site known as the Old Police Station Site; and WH ER EAS, a proposal for professional appraisal services has been solicited and received from Delahanty and Associates, Inc., (Howard J. Delahanty, M.A.I., Appraiser); and WH ER EAS, the funding for this appraisal assignment is to be taken from the Redevelopment Agency operating account. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MIAMI BEACH REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY, THAT: 1. The recommendation of the Redevelopment Agency Executive Director is that Delahanty and Associates, Inc., (Howard J. Delahanty, M.A.I., Appraiser) be awarded a professional service contract for appraisal of the properties needed in Block No. 53 of Ocean Beach Addition No. 3 in the South Pointe Redevelopment Area at the new residential development at the Old Police Station Site is hereby accepted and approved. 2. In order to initiate the acquisition process for the addition of Block 53, the Agency staff has invited M.A.I. firms to submit proposals to perform the necessary appraisal services for the City for this specific project. My preliminary investigation reveals that there are twelve (12) privately owned parcels of land and one parcel owned by the City of Miami Beach, plus alley and street right of way. I will prepare a narrative appraisal report to include Property Descriptions, Valuation analysis with supporting data and a signed Certificate of value for each parcel. Four (4) original copies of the narrative report will be submitted, each contained in one (1) volume if practical. In the event Eminent Domain proceedings are filed, I will supply expert testimony relative to my estimates of value. I am prepared to complete the assignment within forty-five (45) days following your authorization to proceed.
