A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI BEACH REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CHAIRMAN AND THE SECRE-
TARY TO EXECUTE A SPECIAL WARRANTY DEED (A COPY OF
WHICH IS ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF AS
EXHIBIT "A") GRANTING TO THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH THAT
PORTION OF PARCELS A, C AND D AS DESIGNATED ON THE
MIAMI BEACH REDEVELOPMENT PLAN AS AMENDED, ALL LOCATED
BETWEEN ALTON ROAD ON THE EAST, BISCAYNE BAY ON THE
WEST, FIFTH STREET (MacARTHUR CAUSEWAY) ON THE NORTH
.AND GOVERNMENT CUT ON THE SOUTH.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of The City of Miami Beach,
Florida, passed and adopted Resolution No. 79-16136 which authorized
a transfer of the subject property to The Miami Beach Redevelopment
Agency; and
WHEREAS, on July 17, 1980, The Miami Beach Redevelopment
Agency revoked and de-designated South Shore Developers, Inc. as the
Master Developer referenced in said Resolution 79-16136; and
WHEREAS, The Miami Beach Redevelopment Agency in April, 1980,
approved a redevelopment plan amendment in which it proposed to pay The
City of Miami Beach Twenty-four Million Dollars ($24,000,000.00) for
the land by the execution and delivery of an interest-bearing promissory
note; and
WHEREAS, the said redevelopment plan amendment has not become
effective and the said promissory note has not been executed and deli-
vered to The City of Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, The City of Miami Beach, Florida, has not received
payment for the said property from The Miami Beach Redevelopment Agency;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE MIAMI BEACH REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY:
Section 1. The Chairman and Secretary are hereby directed
to execute and deliver forthwith a Special Warranty Deed (a copy of which
is attached hereto and made a part hereof as Exhibit "A") granting said
property to The City of Miami Beach, Florida.
