Shall the City issue general obligation bond payable all or in part from special assessment
of abutting Lincoln Road Mall property owners benefited thereby, as authorized by law,
in an amount not to exceed $3,500,000.00, bearing interest at a rate or rates to be determined
at the time of sale not exceeding the maximum legal rate, for the purpose of opening
Lincoln Road Mall vehicular traffic?
Questioni No. 2:
Shall 37(h) of the Charter of the City of Miami Beach be repealed so that only general
obligation bonds, required by the Florida Constitution, must be approved by the
electorate?
Question No. 3:
Shall Section 8 of the Charter be amended to establish four-year staggered terms
for elected officials by the City Clerk drawing lots at least 90 days prior to the
November, 1985 election to determine which half of the six commission groups will
expire in November, 1987 and which half of said groups will expire in November, 1989;
the mayor's term will likewise be determined, thereafter; all terms of office shall
be for four years?
