His work is creative imagery depicting his fantasies and experiences on canvas, wood, and in multimedia boxes. Mr. Stewart and his artwork have been showcased in Country Living Magazine, Salon (Tokyo, Japan magazine), The New York Daily News, The Washington Post, The Miami Herald, Modem Maturity Magazine, and in a variety of syndicated newspaper articles. Stewart (and his artwork} was featured in a documentary for 1ARD German Television. Stewart is also a professional actor. He is a member of the Screen Actors Guiki (SAG), American Federation of Radio and Television Artists (AFTRA}, and Actors Equity Association (AEA}. He has appeared in numerous films and commererals. He had a brief role on the CBS soap opera "The Guiding Light" in the late `80s. Stewart graduated from the Universiiy of Toledo with a degree in Public Relations. Before becoming a professional artist, he operated his own public relations firm staging national promotions for such clients as Opera Star Roberta Peters, Musicians Doc Severinsen and Enrol Gamer, Singer Nancy Wilson, The House of Hermes, and Superfia Cravats. He is listed in Who's Who in America's South and Southwest and The Who's Who of Comorate Executives. Stewart Stewart is Executive Director and co-founder of Center for Folk and Community Art (CFCA), a non- profit organization established in 1988, comprised of artists, writers, and community activists. CFCA's mission is to use visual art as both a tool of intervention and a method of education to impact community issues and improve the human condition. Stewart is the co-cxeator of Telling Stories Th-vugh Visuals, a nationally recognized program that was selected by the Presidents Gommittee on The Arts and Humanities as a model for effectively using visual art to improve communities. Stewart's artistic talents and extensive experience as a public relations/promotions professional and fom~er gallery owner have combined to create and implement a variety of outstanding and exerting programs for the organization.
