A pioneer in the Wynwood Art District, Rhonda Mitrani co-'founded art spaces called 2628
Studios in 2003. Since then, the warehouse has been re-established as the Mitrani Warehouse,
(www.mitraniwazehouse.com) acenter for creative thinking in the arts community, which is
now home to many azt studios, several galleries, including Alejandra Von Hartz and aztists like
Roberto Behaz and Rosazio Mazquedt, two film companies and an eco-friendly handbag
company. She is a founding member of the Wynwood Art District and more recently, of WOW;
Women of Wynwood, an employment program for the women of the Lotus House Shelter so
that Wynwood can be a cleaner, safer place while empowering the lives of women.
As a video artist, Rhonda recently showed at the Dot Fifty One Gallery, a group exhibition called
Home Work. She's also exhibited at the Marina Kessler Gallery and South Florida Art Center.
Much of her work focuses on socially conscious themes. Lastly, Rhonda just launched a
production boutique called Dreaming in Pictures for independent film projects based out of
Miami Rhonda is currently developing her next feature film.
