Addendum: Summary of Project Work at Gannett Fleming
South Florida East Coast Corridor Alternatives Analysis, Miami -Dade, Broward, and Palm
Beach Counties, FL, Florida Department of Transportation, District 4. Environmental Engineering
Technician responsible for the preparation of a tiered programmatic environmental impact statement
(PEIS) for this 85- mile -long corridor study, which involves evaluating alternate corridors in a two -
mile wide study area centered on the existing Florida East Coast Railway line. This multi- phased 5-
year study integrated Federal Transit Administration (FTA) New Starts alternatives analysis (AA) and
Council Hof Environmental Quality (CEQ) guidance for NEPA studies. Phase 1 and Phase 2 duties
involved the
� e environmental as p ects of the tiered PEIS , includin g the preparation of ancillary
�
environmental documents and reports. Work on this project includes the development of a
iz
customed GIS data model that determined the environmental sustainability of proposed rail facility
sites and transit oriented development. Also a first for a FDOT railway study was the creation of a
greenhouse gas emissions inventory for various project elements. The total budget of the study
which Gannett Fleming oversaw was $20 million.

Florida! Turnpike Service Plaza Strategic Plan, Miami -Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach
Counties, FL, Florida Turnpike Authority. LEED AP responsible for providing guidance on the
design and operation of new and existing service plazas located on Florida's Turnpike. The service
plazas \mere required by the State of Florida to be designed and operated to a LEED Silver standard
(a USGBC standard). The cost of the project was approximately $1.6 million.
S.R.- 916/N.W. 138th Street Roadway Improvement Project, Miami -Dade County, FL, Florida
Department of Transporation, Districe 6. Environmental Project Manager for the preparation of all
necessary Project Development and Environment (PD &E) documents required under Federal
Transit Administration (FTA) National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) guidelines. Also
responsible for providing data collection, GIS, Efficient Transportation Decision Making (ETDM)
services,i Multi- Agency Coordination, and Client Relations. The cost of services for the project was
$50,000 1 th approximately $12,000 going to Environmental Analysis and Reports.

Departm ant of Transportation, District 6. Environmental Engineering Technician -responsible for
preparing GIS maps from data gathered by environmental scientists concerning the locations of
wildlife mortality occurrences. Responsibilities include collating Global Positioning System (GPS)

data on wildlife mortality sites with various field observations and placing this information into a GIS
database. The scope of the project is to establish baseline` - data for a study to determine the
effectiv 1 ness of proposed wildlife crossing and hydraulic structures in minimizin the impacts of
