The walk was covered by media both in Vir ginia and nationally. More than 10,000 letters were collected and delivered to the Senator s office, an effort that would eventually persuade the only undecided Democratic Senator to vote in favor of repeal Worked as a veterans orga nizer and consultant for the Human Rights Campaign, overseeing and organizing efforts for the entire state Led the Human Rights Campaign in t he Miami Beach Gay Pride parade Lobbie d on Capitol Hill with Congressional Leadership on numerous occasions for LGBT rights.
