SUBJECT: South Beach Wine and Food Festival'
The eleventh annual Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival, a national, sf�Aa four -
day destination event showcasing the talents of the world's most renowned wine and spirits
producers, chefs and culinary personalities, is once again taking place in the City of Miami Beach
from Thursday, February 23, 2010 to Sunday, February 26, 2011.
As you know, the South Beach Wine & Food Festival has become one of the largest and most well -
known festivals of its kind in the country. The proceeds of the event benefit the Florida International
University (FIU) School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (the event applicant).
As we have previously advised you, the City's sponsorship agreement with FIU provides residents of
Miami Beach with the exclusive ability to purchase a maximum of two (2) tickets at a 15% discount to
the Whole Foods Market Grand Tasting Village, Burger Bash and The Q. Residents were also able to
purchase these tickets prior to the public on -sale date. The aforementioned benefits are provided in
exchange for the waivers granted to the Festival, as a not - for - profit, and are in addition to the City
being listed as a sponsor in all print, electronic, on -site and media recognition (local and national),
providing the City with positive and extensive media exposure. As a result of the City's sponsorship
agreement with FIU, enclosed please find two (2) tickets to the following events:
• Moet Hennessey's The Q, hosted by Emeril Lagasse and Guy Fieri - two (2) tickets
Thursday, February 23, 7pm - 10pm, Delano Hotel beachfront, 1685 Collins Avenue
• Amstel Light Burger Bash hosted by Rachel Ray - two (2) tickets
Friday, February 24, 7:30pm - 11 pm, Ritz Carlton Beachfront, One Lincoln Rd
• Whole Foods Market Grand Tasting Village - two (2) tickets
(Choice of either Saturday 2/25 OR Sunday 2/26, (two tickets are provided for only one day)
Culinary & Lifestyle Seminars: 11 am -6pm; Grand Tasting: 1 p -5p, 13 & Ocean
Tickets have also been provided to two NEW events, as follows:
• "Best Thing I Ever Ate: Late Night Bites & Sweets by Godiva" - two (2) tickets
Saturday, February 25, 10 pm to 2 am, Ritz Carlton Beachfront, One Lincoln Rd.
• Trucks on the Beach Official Festival Closing Party -two (2) tickets
Sunday, February 26, 6:30pm - 9:30pm, Ritz Carlton Beachfront, One Lincoln Rd.
