As a concerned citizen with ties to the entire neighborhood, he would like to have the opportunity to serve on a board and become an integral part of the Miami Beach Community. As a practicing attorney for over 12 years, he would gladly give of his time in order to use his skills to continue to make Miami Beach one of the best places to live. Mr. Bernstein has grown his practice substantially, at his Meridian Avenue location. His legal practice area focuses on Commercial Real Estate Transactions, Commercial Collections, Litigation, Construction law ,Commercial Leasing and General Business law issues, M&A, and SEC Law. While originally from New York, Michael moved to Miami Beach and became a full time resident with his wife in late 2004. He has remained loyal to the area not only purchasing a home but also keeping his legal practice at the beach with a located right off of Lincoln Road. Michael, is a graduate from New York University where he received a B.A. in Political Science. He then continued his education and received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School. While in law school, he served as a clerk for Judge of the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Kings County, and worked with small law firms specializing in collection, commercial litigation and construction law. Other career accomplishments include clerking for the managing attorney of the bankruptcy division of the New York County Legal Aid Services. Mr. Bernstein is admitted to practice law in the State and Federal Courts in Florida, New York,New Jersey. Mr. Bernstein has been and is currently affiliated with the New York County Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association and the Florida Bar Association, New York Trial Lawyers Association, the Commercial Law League of America, the Wright-Holmes List,the Columbia Law List, the New York County Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association and the Florida Bar Association. Mr. Bernstein is also a sponsor of many local charities in the area.
