BIOGRAPHY
KEITH MENIN, PRINCIPAL MENIN HOTELS LLC
Few young visionary hoteliers have had an impact on their industry, and especially on the revival of South Beach's
iconic properties, than Keith Menin of Menin Hotels. Lauded as one of the top new generation hoteliers, Keith's
rapidly expanding portfolio of acclaimed destinations is not only pioneering the modern day preservation of historic
properties, but is also providing new distinctive experiences for today's discerning traveler.
With family roots deeply embedded in South Florida's hotel industry since the pivotal 1920's, Miami -born Keith
began to learn the fundamentals of a hotelier at a young age. Keith began his hospitality career at 15 years of age
while tending the front desk of Shelborne South Beach. His uncle and mentor Russell Galbut was operating the
hotel at that time and took him under his wing, exposing him to the regimen of a hotel operator by way of the family
business - Crescent Heights, one of the nation's largest developers and marketers of high -rise, multifamily housing
and hotels.
Keith enrolled in the prestigious hotel school Cornell University and upon graduation joined forces with his cousin
Jared Galbut who shared in a similar vision for their future within the hotel industry. Before the age of 25, they
acquired Sanctuary South Beach and focused their dynamic energy into successfully reinventing a nursing home
into a chic 30 -room, all -suite boutique hotel and flawlessly executing a luxury, jet setter guest experience.
Realizing the potential of their partnership, Keith and Jared then took on another boutique property, Raffaello
Chicago. Jared moved to Chicago to oversee Raffaello's development onsite and also traveled back and forth to
assist in managing Sanctuary South Beach alongside Keith who was given the opportunity to work on the
resurgence of Mondrian South Beach. The $50 million renovation of Mondrian received critical acclaim for its
innovation and uniquely developed perspective of a historic property, becoming further inspiration for Keith's
objective of breathing new life into timeless hotels.
On the heels of their multiple successes with Sanctuary South Beach, Raffaello Chicago and Mondrian South
Beach, the duo formed Menin Hotels and began evolving at an incredible pace. They redeveloped esteemed
properties including Bentley South Beach, Shelborne South Beach and most recently Gale South Beach & Regent
Hotel. The 2012 opening of Gale South Beach & Regent Hotel ushered in the age of straightforward, thoughtfully
conceived luxury boutique hotels and established Keith's reputation as a prescient hotel magnate with a fresh
vision.
With an innate sense of fashion and an eye for detail, Keith has applied his knowledge, dedication and expertise to
Menin Hotels' ever - expanding, diverse portfolio of hotel destinations and multiple dining and nightlife locations
including Vesper, Pizza Bar, Lucy's Cantina Royale and Drumbar. Keith's projects have received accolades for
developing some of the internationally known "it" list locations in Chicago and Miami, and with a number of projects
in the works, Keith does not show signs of slowing. While continuously traveling from city to city to find properties
in need of Keith and Jared's vision, development and operation, Menin Hotels has developed a new brand of
boutique hotels called MARKET which will embody simplicity for the urban, young and chic and will begin with
MARKET Lincoln Lane, a highly anticipated project to build the first hotel off of famed Lincoln Road.
Keith currently resides in Miami Beach, FL.
