Miami Beach, FL 33140
Dear Mr. Trullenque:
On behalf of the City Commission, I want to extend my appreciation for your services on the Hispanic
Affairs Committee.
Pursuant to City of Miami Beach Code Section 2-22 (5)a, "Notwithstanding any other provision of the
City Code or of any resolution, commencing with terms beginning on or after January 1, 2007, the
term of every board member who is directly appointed by a member of the City Commission shall
automatically expire upon the latter of: December 31 of the year the appointing City Commissioner
leaves office or upon the appointment/election of the successor City Commission member."
Since you were appointed by Commissioner Ed Tobin, whose term ends today, November 23, 2015,
your term on this committee will end on 12/31/2015.
As per Sec. 2-24(a) all persons serving on city agencies, boards and committees shall cease to hold
office when a successor is duly appointed, or 60 days after expiration of the term of their office, such
term is specified in the ordinance, resolution or other law creating such office, whether or not a
successor has been appointed, whichever occurs first, and such person shall at that time cease to
exercise any rights, powers or prerogatives of office.
Please note that regrettably your parking pass will no longer be honored after February 20, 2016
since your term of membership on the committee will end. I encourage you to contact the new
Commissioner(s) to seek another board/committee appointment. Should you have any questions,
please feel free to contact me.
Respectfully,
44,
Re.,el E. Granado
