NOTICE IS HEREBY given that a First Reading, Public Hearing, will be heard by the
Mayor and City Commission of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, in the Commission
Chamber, 3'd Floor, City Hall, 1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida, on
July 13, 2016 at 5:08 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, to consider
the adoption of the following Ordinance:
An OrdinanceAmendingThe Code OfThe City Of Miami Beach, Subpart B, Entitled
"Land Development Regulations," Of Chapter 142, Entitled "Zoning Districts And
Regulations," By Amending Division 2, Entitled "Accessory Uses "; By Amending
Article IV, Entitled "Supplementary District Regulations," By Amending Division
3, Entitled "Supplementary Use Regulations," By Amending Section 142 -1111,
Entitled "Short -Term Rental Of Apartment Units OrTownhomes," By Creating A
New Subsection (d), Which Establishes Eligibility Requirements For Short -Term
Rental Of ApartmentAndTownhome Residential Units In North Beach; Limiting
The EligibilityToThose Properties Fronting Harding Avenue FromThe South Side
Of 7ad StreetToThe Northern Boundary OfThe City; By Establishing Conditions
Precedent Before A Property Owner Is Legally Authorized To Engage In Short-
Term Rentals; And Require The Property To Be Fully Renovated And Restored
In Accordance With Those Delineated Standards Set Forth In Subsection (d)
(1), Which Must Be Accomplished Prior To The Issuance Of The Business Tax
Receipt Permitting Short -Term Rentals; And Providing For Repealer, Severability,
Codification, And An Effective Date.
This Ordina nce is being heard pursuant to Section 118 -164 of the City's Land Development

Florida 33139. This meeting, or any item herein, may be continued, and under such
circumstances, additional legal notice need not be provided.
