Having reviewed the Minimum Eligibility Criteria in the RFP document that was issued, I am concerned that it is stricter than the criteria that was approved by the City Commission when we initially approved the issuance of the RFP. As a result, the "stricter'' criteria may limit the number of proposals that the City receives, and therefore may limit our options when it comes down to selecting a vendor to perform the services required under the RFP. To that end, I would like to have a discussion as to whether we should proceed with the RFP, as issued, or whether to take other action-which may include the withdrawal of the RFP altogether. This is an opportune time for such discussion since the RFP is still out on the street, and proposals have not yet been received and/or opened.
