Discussion of Tennis Pro operations at City's 3/17/76
tennis courts, Requested by Mayor Rosen. City
Atty. advised that Council has two alternatives,
namely, that City either operate the tennis
facilities in a proprietary capacity, or that
they be leased out on a competitive basis. Fol-
lowing review and discussion of alternatives
offered by Admin., it was consensus of Council
that it would be opposed to leasing facilities
to a concessionaire. City Mgr. and City Atty.
requested to review subject and submit viable
solutions and alternative options.
TENNIS
Discussion of methods of financing Tennis Com-
plex. Requested by Councilman Spaet. Mr. Gerry
Spaerstein appeared and was requested to meet
with Administration and Councilman Spaet to re-
view details of his proposal.
1. LTC 350-76. Survey of Parks & Recreation
Director of properties on Pine Tree Dr. for
possible tennis stadium location.
2. LTC 351-76. Report of Parks & Recreation
Director re: stadium complex revenue esti-
mates.

Tennis Stadium Advisory Committee be activated
so as to meet with Administration and Mr. John
Beyer, to participate in consideration of sites,
and to submit recommendations.

and Ben Grenald, to discuss proposed tennis cen-
ter. Council members present indicated their in-
terest in going forward with development of site,
method of financing, for a tennis stadium. Admini-

with due and deliberate speed. Councilman Meyerson's
