Discussion on finalizing policy concerning Latin 3/17/76
Tour operators. City Atty. advised that recent
Metro Charter change has divested City of any
jurisdiction over taxicabs, all other vehicles
for hire, and tour operators; and any action
by Council would be moot. (Requested by
Councilman Sahl).

Discussion on calling a workshop meeting of 4/20/77
Council with TDA, Tourist and Banking interests
in the community with regard to a renewed ef-
fort to attract tourists to City. Requested
by Councilman Spaet. Removed from agenda at
request of Councilman Spaet.
LATIN TOUR OPERATORS - Councilman Meyerson re- 6/22/77
ferred to a communication from Senator Jack
Gordon and the effect on the City's tourist
economy of what is transpiring and suggested
that a workshop meeting be held on this subject.
Mayor Rosen advised that he had no objections
to a special meeting, but that he is aware of
the situation, has been working on this matter
