Council declared October "Save a Palm Month". Requests made by Mrs. Shubin re: program to save the trees and the legal aspects of re- moval of dead trees from private property, referred to City Manager and City Att'y. for immediate action and recommendation to the Council. TREES_ Ord. #74-2014 adopted, as an emergency measure, authorizing Parks Div. employees to treat palm trees on private property for lethel yellowing. Ord. #74-2015 adopted, as an emergency measure authorizing Parks Div. employees to remove fatally sticken trees from pri- vate property and authorizing reasonable charges therefor, and for application of liens against the properties for such charges.
