of the Committee "To Save the Palm Trees
on M.B." to ask the City to Join in the
fight to stop Lethal Yellowing.
Council declared October "Save a Palm Month".
Requests made by Mrs. Shubin re: program to
save the trees and the legal aspects of re-
moval of dead trees from private property,
referred to City Manager and City Att'y. for
immediate action and recommendation to the
Council.

Ord. #74-2014 adopted, as an emergency
measure, authorizing Parks Div. employees
to treat palm trees on private property for
lethel yellowing.
Ord. #74-2015 adopted, as an emergency
measure authorizing Parks Div. employees
to remove fatally sticken trees from pri-
vate property and authorizing reasonable
charges therefor, and for application of
liens against the properties for such charges.
Councilman Spaet requested Admin. to attempt
to obtain emergency funds from U. S. Dept. of
Interior.
