Committee re: renaming of streets. Commission
approved following recommendations of Committee:
1) To add name of Hi -Tides Dr. to Prairie Ave.
street signs, in the area Dade Blvd. to the
area at the curve of the street at Par 3,
(28th St)per request of M.B. High School
students.
2. Reject the proposal that Convention Center

Dr. be renamed Hubert H. Humphrey Dr. but
that a plaque be placed in an appropriate
place in Convention Center Complex area.
3) Reject request to change name of M.B. Boule-
vard to Mohammad Ali Dr; however, Committee
will again take under consideration a method
by which the City can pay tribute to Mr. Ali's
accomplishments in the sports world.
Report of Commission Plaques and Memorials Com-
mittee re: "Name the Pier" Contest. Combined
name "Miami Beach International Sunshine -Pier"
approved. Committee to work with Administration
in scheduling pier dedication and separate dedi-
cation honoring Thacker Ross. Administration
