POLICE DEPARTMENT
Police protection on South Beach. Citing the
fear on the part of South Beach residents,
Commissioner Sahl requested that City Mgr.
review all City department budgets in order to
provide additional funds to Police Dept., so
that more uniformed personnel can be placed
on the streets in that area. Commissioner
Friedman requested City Mgr. to present a re-
port at the Nov. 1, 1978 Commission meeting,
as to the steps being taken to protect the
elderly, including an outline of the SCAT
program.
Commissioner Friedman commended Police Chief 11/15/78
for extra effort exerted by Dept. to apprehend
