In re: condemnation suit re: acquisition of
property on West side of Collins Ave., City
Atty. and City's Real Estate Consultant
recommended employment of John Farrell as
special counsel at fee of 5% of City's estimated
value if case goes to trial and 3% of est. value
if settled before trial. It was City Atty's.
recommendation that Mr. Farrell be paid fee of
$30,000 for services as special counsel in
Beach erosion case (Versailles Hotel). Re-
commendations approved by Council.
Administration to request S.Z.Bennett to
recommend appraisers re: purchase of Land O'Sun

Re: Acquisition of Brittany Bay property
for municipal purposes, in course of discussion
City Mgr. was directed to pursue investigation of
costs, etc. of acquiring the property and LATER
IN MEETING Council directed placement of a
bond issue on 2/20/special election ballot.
Amending Res. 13775, including Block 20, Altos
Del Mar No. 1, in condemnation actions for
acquisition of West side of Collins 79-87 St. 5/2/73
Appearance by real estate consultant S.Z.Bennett
to discuss status of acquisitions and resolution
authorizing execution of agreement for purchase
of 1915 Meridian Ave. (Meri-Lane Apts.). Reso-
lution failed to pass. This acquisition will be
1/3/73
