In reply to U.M. Haber's question concerning City's power to acquire property by condemnation in another City, Mr. Wanick said that under City's Charter and a Special Act of Legislature, City is author- ized to institute condemnation proceedings for property outside corporate limits of M.B. How- ever, he said, if the City of Miami opposes the acquisition on basis that it serves a municipal purpose in Miami, Courts would have to decide which public need is greater. 2/18/76
