Reinstate live bands at Centers 4 nights each week 0$160 per night- no action taken RECREATION DEPARTMENT 21 Date in view of Councilman Sahl's suggestion that he be designated to contact Musician's Union and attempt to negotiate fees,on basis that Union will take into consideration that service is to be provided to Senior Citizens. 9/24/74 Discussion of restoration of live bands nightly at Community Centers dances. Report presented. Councilman Dr. Wikler's motion to remove communication from agenda based on fact that restoration of 25 charge was not agenda item, failed of passage. Councilman Sahl reported the following results 10/16/74 RECREATION DEPARTMENT (con a) of his meeting with President of the Musicians' Union. 1) Union agreed not to increaseits present rate, which increase had been anticipated; 2) Union agreed to subsidize the Saturday night bard monthly from its Music Performance Trust Fund, commencing 11/2/74, if the dances con- tinue to be free for registered voters, such agreement to be negotiated monthly. 10/16/74 22 Date Following discussion on Mayor Rosen's request to consider the reinstatement of the 25 admission fee, Councilman Weinstein said that the request was premature inasmuch as there has not been a sufficient trial period of this method of
