Oral report rendered by Rent Control Director.
City Atty. advised that prosecutions will take
place if required.
Recommendation of City Atty. accepted that
Mr. Richard Kanner continue in his role as
special counsel in defense of Rent Control
litigation at the present $75 pr hr rate; that
Mr. Kanner be authorized to employ Prof.
John Ritter at a fee of $75 pr hr., with both
to handle the entire case and take the full
responsibility therefor; In the interim,
City Atty. is to negotiate a top set figure

Mr. Harry Plissner appeared and advised of 8/6/75
emergency situation concerning an eviction
appeal and requested that the City Atty. de-
fend the case. Mr. Plissner was requested to
meet with the City Atty.
City Atty. presented oral status report on rent 10/15/75
control litigation.
Requested survey for Rent Control Admin., not 11/19/75
reached. Deferred to 12/10/75 meeting.

Requested survey for Rent Control Admin. ,(de-
ferred from 11/19/75). Admin. authorized to
employ firm of First Research at a fee of
$5,300.00 to conduct required survey.
Outcome of Rent Control litigation. City
Atty. rendered oral report that Judge Popper
had granted the City's motion to dismiss the
complaints of the Roney Plaza and Seacoast
Towers apartments.
Request of M.B. Apartment Assoc, to discuss
objection to manner and method of survey in
connection with Rent Control. Referred to
Rent Stabilization Committee.
