Mayor Haber advised that members of T.D.A. had 3/7/79
requested that Commission take an official posi-
tion regarding the concept and its Sept. 27,
1978 proffer to earmark $50,000 per year, for a
total of $500,000 for the proposed Tennis com-
plex. City Mgr. rendered a brief status report
of staff's ongoing activities in preparing
various studies, and advised that T.D.A.

Executive Director has been kept apprised. Com-
mission reaffirmed its intention to proceed expedi-
tiously with project and requested City Mgr. to
advise T.D.A. to continue allocating and holding
funds for this purpose. Administration directed
to submit a report of its activities regarding

Mrs. Beverlye Weinberger appeared and reviewed 5/2/79
Operation Pride - Put on a Happy Face courtesy
program, formulated by her T.D.A. Committee.
Following presentation, she requested official
endorsement of program and in-kind services to
be furnished by City. Program received

tion directed to cooperate and to use discretion
in making City's facilities available. Commis-
sioner Weinstein requested that a commendatory
resolution be prepared for presentation to
Mrs. Weinberger.
Res. #79-15914 adopted, commending Beverlye
Weinberger for her contributions to C.M.B.
while serving as a member of the TDA Authority;
and endorsing 'Operation -Pride Courtesy Program".
