Re: Councilman Haber's question as to whether
Mr. John Farrell, City's special counsel on
condemnations, recommended acceptance of offers
of settlement on 8 parcels at north end on west side
of Collins Ave., to which Mr. Bennett responded in affir-
mative, Councilman Weinstein requested that, in
the future, written recommendation from Mr.
Farrell accompany all recommendations for settle-
ment when he is counsel on condemnation actions.9/12/3

Ave. Councilman Weinstein said in connection with above
discussion was had with Gov. Askew and State
Road Dept. officials during meeting on 9/11/73
re: Administration's proposal that Collins Ave
be relocated westward to the alley so that City -
owned property would be on wide expanse all the
way to ocean and Gov. and State Rd. Dept. had
agreed with this in principle and are working
on plans to develope this proposal. 9/12/73
Res. 73-14144 adopted, authorizing acceptance
of offer to settlement and execution of agree-
ment for purchase of Lot 2, Block 17, Altos
Del Mar No. 1 for use of public park and
