Councilman Meyerson asked Mr. Bergacker also
submit standards to County and State Pollution
Controls Bds. for their review and possible

Councilman Sahl suggested inclusion of a require-
ment for an add'1. $10,000 cash bond to be pro-
vided by property owner, in case of breakdown of
plant, immediate repairs would be made, and should
there be unnecessary delay, City would make re -

Discussion on permitting septic tanks to be
installed in single family residential areas. 2/20/74
City Mgr. directed to make application to State
Pollution Control Bd., expeditiously, for an
exemption from moratorium, to permit new single-
family structures only to be connected to pre-
sently existing sewer lines in City, since there
are so few new residences being built and the
add'l. flow would be minute.

for transmitting sewage to Virginia Key treatment
plant. Appropriation from other bond funds, later
to be reimbursed from sale of 11/2/71, $10.5
million bond issue approved. 3/20/74
City Mgr. reported that Public Works Director
attended 3/18/74 meeting of State Pollution
Control Bd. wherein guidelines were adopted
under which Cities may apply for exemption under
Good Faith Bill and advised these guidelines
