on a petition for 4 charter amendments to be
voted upon by the electorate. No action taken.

DeGrove report's recommendations that City
Council enact a Districting Plan be adopted

intends to present petitions to Commission to
have following proposed amendments on Nov. 6,
1979 ballot:
1) That the City may not give away, sell, 4/4/79
lease, or trade any City property whose
appraised value is more than $100,000,
without the approval of the majority of
the electors in an election to consider
the question.
2) Request a rezoning of Parkview Island in
order to maintain its present density.

Mr. Laurie Holtz Chairman of B.A.C. ap-
pearedin support ot the BAC's recommenda-
tion to amend the Civil Service Rules, and
requested question be placed on Nov. 6, 1979
ballot. City Atty. advised that 60 -day re-
quirement to place Charter amendments on
ballot could not be met. Commission concur-
red in his suggestion that consideration of
matter deferred and that necessary question
be ready for placement on ballot of County-
wide election scheduled to be held in March,
