SCOTT ROBINS
President & Chief Executive Officer
Scott Robins Companies
Scott Robins is the Founder of Scott Robins Companies, ("SRC"). Since 1988, Mr.
Robins has grown his company into a mid-size, vertically -integrated Real Estate
Development firm, specializing in development, construction, leasing and commercial
property management.
Native to Miami, Mr. Robins chose to stay in South Florida because of the region's
dynamic future as a worldwide center for business where trade and culture continually
energize the city and keep it on the forefront as one of the world's most important up and
coming cities.
Mr. Robins owns commercial real estate throughout South Florida, most of which is
located in the famous Art Deco District of Miami Beach ("South Beach") and Downtown
Miami. A pacesetter in the reemergence of South Beach, his properties consist of office,
retail, hotel and residential space in prime locations and represent some of the most
noteworthy real estate in the area.
Scott Robins spent the first phase of his business life constructing many of the areas'
landmark projects as a general contractor, while also dedicating his time and efforts as
a community activist and preservationist in the City of Miami Beach. He has been and
continues to be an instrumental figure in shaping the City's future. It is because of his
efforts, as well as the many others he has collaborated with over the years, that Miami
Beach enjoys its international reputation as one of the most important cities in the
world.
Mr. Robins is now focused on constructing improved neighborhoods where his projects
become catalysts for the transformation of blighted and forgotten urban areas into
newly important metropolitan centers.
He has been one of the driving forces behind the transformation of the Sunset Harbour
District in Miami Beach. Transformed from a light industrial district to a vibrant retail
and restaurant hub enjoyed by Miami Beach's residents, tourists who discover the
region are lured by the contrast in Miami Beach lifestyle. Sunset Harbour today is home
to some of the City's best restaurants and commercial venues including NaiYaRa,
Lucali, jugofresh, Pubbelly, The Fresh Market and more.
Most recently, Mr. Robins has been working closely with the City of Miami Beach,
spearheading the multimillion dollar revitalization of historic Espanola Way, the first
commercial street in the city. Lined with locally owned restaurants, specialty shops and
small businesses, the completion marks the renaissance of what was constructed in the
1920s as a Mediterranean Spanish Village, and a festive street where today travelers can
mingle with the locals to commiserate, create and celebrate.
Mr. Robins' work has been widely regarded in the media for his impactful work and
service. He has also been presented with Certificates of Appreciation and Public Service
Awards by the City of Miami Beach; a Historical Revitalization Award by the Miami Design
Preservation League; the Award for Excellence in Architecture for a Contractor by the
American Institute of Architecture; and the Award for Public Service from The Women of
Tomorrow.
In January 2014, Mayor Philip Levine appointed Mr. Robins as Chairman of City of Miami
Beach's Blue Ribbon Panel on Flooding Mitigation and Sea Level Rise. This panel was
created to oversee the City's response to flooding and the effects of sea level rise. The
panel has been and continues to be instrumental in shaping a new and comprehensive
flood management and resiliency plan for the City of Miami Beach.
Numerous past and present directorship positions highlight Mr. Robins' charitable and
civic commitments: board member of The Miami Beach Police Athletic League; Young
Presidents Club and Founder of Mount Sinai Hospital; board member of The Miami
Beach Development Corporation; board member and chairman -elect of The Miami Beach
Chamber of Commerce; board member of The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors
Bureau; board member of The Downtown Development Authority of Miami; founder and
major contributor to The South Florida Youth Foundation whose objective is to provide
desperately needed goods and services to underprivileged children in the City of Miami.
