Director, Airport Fine Arts & Cultural Affairs 1995 - 2017

Responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and directing all of the art and cultural program
activities at Miami International Airport. These programs consist of two major components: a Rotating
Exhibition Program and a Percent for Art Program.
Founder and director of the Rotating Exhibition Program in 1998. Includes two large, exhibition
galleries, 2400 sq.ft and 4200 sq.ft., respectively, a children's art gallery, a photography gallery,
and seven to ten additional exhibition spaces throughout the Airport. All exhibitions rotate
approximately every three to four months. Duties include: design and construction of all
exhibition spaces; programming, including selection of artists, curating and installation of
exhibitions; development and design of all related publications, including exhibition catalogues
and brochures; supervision of subordinate staff; identification and development of sponsors;
marketing and all public relations activities; development of partnerships with local and
international cultural organizations; establishment and implementation of program policies and
procedures; administration of program/ divisional budgets; representation of the Department on
boards, task forces and committees involved in issues related to fine arts and cultural affairs.
Founder and Director of the Not for Profit Exhibition Program devoted to the promotion of the
activities of "not for profit" groups within an artistic context.
Founder and Director of partnership with Miami -Dade County Public Schools, exhibiting the
work of children, grades K-12, on a rotating basis (every three months). Includes participation in
the nationally -recognized Museum Education Program.
Liaison to the County's Art in Public Places Program. Assisted in the administration of a $4.8
billion airport expansion project. Duties include: identification of "art opportunities" at the
airport; collaboration with architectural and design teams expansion and renovation projects,
