Application Resume: Animal Welfare Committee

My husband, Greg, and I reside in Palau at Sunset Harbor Condominiums; our primary residence. I am
currently the President of Palau’s Board of Directors helping to position this new building for success after
transition from the Developers. I am the founder of Silver Platter Consulting, LLC; an investment company
that focuses on real estate. Our portfolio consists of several multi-unit buildings across multiple states.
Prior to founding Silver Platter Consulting, I was the Executive Vice President of Sales for the East Coast at
Automatic Data Processing, a Fortune 100 technology company, for 15 years.
Philanthropically, I help run and am on the Board of SOBE Cats Spay & Neuter, Inc.; which is a 501c3
nonprofit that helps to control the Miami Beach stray cat population by trapping, spaying/neutering,
vaccinating then releasing our stray community cats. We worked with the City of Miami Beach to obtain a
grant from PetSmart Charities to assist us in achieving our mission. I also volunteer for NFTE (Network for
Teaching Entrepreneurship), which provides programs that inspire young people from low-income
communities to stay in school, recognize business opportunities and plan for successful futures. Lastly, I am
a trained CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for abused/neglected children in the foster care system
focusing on ensuring child safety/well being.
I believe that my leadership skills, results oriented focus, extensive Executive management background,
people skills, and technology savvy are several of my attributes that will help me to excel in a role on the
Miami Beach Animal Welfare Committee. It takes time, dedication, and tenacious follow up skills to make
sure a committee runs efficiently. I am capable and willing to put in the elbow grease. I look forward to
assisting the City of Miami Beach with helping to improve communication, care and coordination around
the welfare of our beloved animal population.
When I am not working on my business or philanthropy work; you will see me paddle-boarding, riding my
beach cruiser around the beach, boating, taking a bar class up the road, heading to Equinox for a dance
class, or very slowly walking my elderly pug!
