• Skilled shoot director on many formats

• Promax committee member, producer and award nominee
Work Experience:
Jetix Europe Ltd (now Disney XD), London
Senior Producer Creative Services May 2006 – Jan 2007
My main focus was to drive the Jetix brand forward through innovative work and team management. Getting
into the minds of kids, I produced and directed on-air promotions, marketing campaigns and competition spots
for the UK Channel. I also created generic campaigns specifically for the European and Middle East market.
This included on and off air (print), press launches and sales reels. From footage and original animation, I
ensured the brand was constantly developed while maintaining the correct position. Acting as a creative
mentor for the UK producers, I was responsible for cultivating the teams writing, storyboarding, editing,
directing and post production skills, holding regular creative writing sessions, brainstorms and editing tutorials.
With the absence of a Creative Director, I was responsible for campaign sign off and ensuring the smooth flow
of communication between Creative Services, Marketing, Ad sales and Programming. Making sure the UK
Creative Team, including myself, the staff producers and freelancers met all briefs and deadlines; I managed
budgets, planned campaigns, allocated workload and managed the makelist. I am a creative writer who will
push to the limit but tow the line when necessary. I am a fully trained Avid editor, happiest when self operating.
I was a Promax committee member and produced seminars for the UK conference.
Flextech Television Ltd, London
Promo Director Creative Services Nov 2004 – May 2006
Working on Trouble, Bravo, Challenge and primarily on Living Tv, I was responsible for the
conceptualisation, development and production of On – Air promo campaigns, sales tapes, and
coverage of schedule launches and special events. I created promos, continuity and idents, to briefs,
tight deadlines and budgets; from shot footage (film and video), conducting interviews, programme
material and graphics. I worked with $0 budgets and managed $200,000+ budgets for shoots. Juggling
four distinct brands, I produced spots for a broad spectrum of movies and shows, from comedy to teens
and drama to reality. Each campaign met its specific target audience and was in keeping with its own
channel identity. Extracting the best from talent, crew and team members, I e nsured the on – air look
worked in unison with the relevant off air campaign whether on-line, print or mobile based.
At Flextech I gained a wealth of experience in shoots the US. I directed and interviewing major stars
such as Missy Elliott, Freddie Prinz Jr and many others. My role also included being trained by Red Bee
Media (BBC) and then training the sixteen producers in the department to use Quantel editing systems,
ready for the migration to a tape less environment in March 2006.
Nickelodeon, London
Producer On-Air July 2004 – Nov 2004
Catering to a younger demographic for Nickelodeon and Nick Jnr; I produced spots primarily from
commissioning animation and programme footage. Working closely with designers and kit making sure all the
promos echoed the distinctive Nickelodeon brand values whilst predicting social and cultural youth trends.
Paramount Comedy (now Comedy Central), London
Producer / Director On-Air Dec 2000 – July 2004
Promotions Producer responsible for creating innovative comedy trails. Constantly generating fresh
ideas for well established and often repeated shows, I ensured the unique Paramount brand was
stamped on and off air. Dealing with smaller budgets I produced spots from footage as well as shoot-
based material, often filmed on DV by myself.
Curriculum Vitae cont.
I have directed many of the ‘Paramount Sit - Com stars’ such as Kelsey Grammer and the cast of
Cheers, Monty Python amongst many others. I was also responsible for developing the scriptwriting
skills of the assistant producers.
Assistant Producer On-Air Sept 1999 – Dec 2000
Producing generic, episodic and highlight spots whilst assisting The On -Air department with material
sourcing, make-list versioning and general administrative duties. Organised shoots and post production
to tight budgets.
Production Assistant On-Air Aug 1998 – Sept 1999
Supporting the department with selecting talent, planning and assisting on shoots. General office duties
including music sourcing, tape and music licensing.
Researcher and PA to Managing Director Feb 1998 – Aug 1998
Researched, assisted and organised shoots for Paramount’s Production department including, stunts
with Dom Joly and interstitials. Daily office duties for the management team.
Nickelodeon UK, London
