PASCOE Edward "Ed" Pascoe is a specialist dealer in ceramic art and collectibles, and has been in the business since 1971. He was introduced to the world of antiques while still at high school in Philadelphia and began dealing in Wedgwood with a family friend. At the age of 17, he was traveling regularly from the US to the UK in search of interesting pieces and was one of the first American dealers to recognize the potential market for Royal Doulton figurines and character jugs in the early 1970's. He has been a specialist dealer in Royal Doulton antiques for the last 45 years. Ed Pascoe studied political science at Notre Dame University and graduated in 1975. He opened his first antique shop on Pine Street, Philadelphia in 1976 and moved to New York in 1979 where he opened his second shop on Madison Avenue. Royal Doulton, Wedgwood and other fine art pottery were among the antiques featured in this Manhattan store. In 1987, he transferred his business to Miami, Florida, where he has operated a world- wide mail order catalog and internet business specializing in Royal Doulton. Pascoe and Company has promoted annual Royal Doulton conventions in Florida, New Jersey and Ohio and exhibits regularly at antique shows all over the USA, as well as at special events in Canada, Australia, the UK and South Africa. With his extensive knowledge of Royal Doulton, Ardmore and other fine art pottery, Ed is often invited to speak at collectors conferences, and he has been a guest on radio and TV chat shows, discussing antiques. Ed has been a resident and property owner in Miami Beach for over thirty years. Ed's civic involvement covers a wide spectrum of activities. Since 2012 he has been a Board member of Safeguarding American Values for Everyone (SAVE) Miami Dade, a gay political action organization. He is involved in local and state politics and has twice served as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention. He created a grant program at the University of Miami to fund study abroad semesters for gay students. He participates annually in "SMART RIDE" Florida, a one hundred sixty-five mile cycling event that raises money and awareness for various gay charities in the state. Additionally, he divides his time amongst a variety of gay causes.
