I understand that no later than July 1, of each year all members of Boards and Committees of the City of Miami
Beach, including those of a purely advisory nature, are required to comply with Miami-Dade County Financial
Disclosure Requirements.
One of the following forms must be filled with the City Clerk of Miami Beach, 1700 Convention Center Drive,
Miami Beach, Florida, no later than 12:00 noon of July 1, of each year:

Responsible for the development and management of more than 1,700 employees (5 collective
bargaining units) with an annual total fund budget of almost $500 million and a Five Year Capital
Improvement Program of more than $1 billion. Directed the Miami Beach Redevelopment Agency
including two of the most successful and accomplished Community Redevelopment Areas (CRA)
in Florida, including the first CRA in the state.
Maintained the City of Miami Beach as an internationally recognized tourist and entertainment
destination, welcoming approximately 15 million visitors per year. Oversaw a million square foot
Miami Beach Convention Center, three theaters, three municipal golf courses, the Bass Museum of
Art and a sophisticated municipal parking system with seven garage structures and thousands of
on-street and off-street parking spaces.
Developed and implemented the City’s strategic planning framework, establishing a formal planning
process and fostering an organizational culture focused on teamwork, performance measurement,
effectiveness and out-of the box thinking. Twelve year tenure resulted in the City’s highest credit
ratings ever from Wall Street ratings agencies; the City’s lowest tax rates in decades; the City’s
strongest reserves in history; the City’s lowest crime rates in decades; the City’s highest rated and
best achieving public schools; and the City’s highest community satisfaction survey ratings from
residents and businesses – with 89 percent of respondents rating the Quality of Life on Miami Beach
as either excellent or good.
Successfully negotiated to make the City of Miami Beach the home of Art Basel Miami
Beach, the sister event of the world’s most prestigious art show, Art Basel. Today, the City
hosts the most important art show in the Western Hemisphere;
Instrumental in attracting and promoting high-profile special events for the destination,
ranging from Super Bowl (2007 and 2010), the annual Food Network’s South Beach Food
Wine Festival, the Latin Grammys, MTV Latin Music Awards, the SOURCE Awards, and
the Latin Billboard Awards. As a result, the City of Miami Beach enjoys a reputation as a

coordinated the County’s interactions with the Arlington Public Schools; the Juvenile and
Domestic Relations Court; and the Commissioner of the Revenue. Oversaw the County’s

Concurrently functioned as Acting Director of the Human Resources Department for
almost two (2) years; initiated an assessment of the County’s human resources needs
and approved a redesigned/reengineered Human Resources Department structure;
Coordinated and led the recruitment for Arlington County Manager and directed more than
20 senior level recruitments, including Police Chief, two (2) Deputy Police Chiefs, and
three (3) Assistant Fire Chiefs;
Led negotiation efforts with the Arlington Public Schools to increase collaboration between
organizations, including agreements for joint use of facilities, consolidating vehicle
