John Stuart Bio John Stuart, a registered architect in Florida, has lived in Miami Beach for more than twenty-five years, during which time he has served on the Mayor’s Art Deco Cultural District Panel, on the Miami Beach Historic Preservation Board, on the Board of Governors of the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce and the Miami Beach Historic Preservation Board. He is co-author of the Florida building entries for Archipedia, the online encyclopedia of the Society of Architectural Historians. At FIU, Stuart is Distinguished University Professor of Architecture, Associate Dean for Cultural and Community Engagement in the College of Communication, Architecture + The Arts and Executive Director of FIU’s Miami Beach Urban Studios and FIU CARTA | Mana Wynwood, both community embedded innovation and collaboration spaces.
