Education Miami Beach Senior High School (Miami Beach, FL)
August 2017 – Present
I am in the International Baccalaureate program, the most rigorous
program offered in my school. Last year I took three Advanced
Placement courses: AP Art History, AP European History, and AP
Language and Composition, and scored a 5/5 on all of them. This year
(my junior year) I intend to continue pushing myself academically by
enrolling in classes such as AP Physics, AP Literature, AP US
History, and AP Calculus. I have an unweighted GPA of 3.9.
Experience
Kovels Data Assistant
Miami Beach, FL
August 2019- Present
I work once a week for three hours doing data input on various
programs including Microsoft Excel and SharePoint.
Intern under the South Florida Regional Organizer at ACLU of
Florida
Miami, FL
June 2018 – August 2018
I was tasked with volunteer engagement through many means for the
Amendment 4 ballot initiative, which passed into law and amended
the constitution in the 2018 elections. This Amendment restored the
right to vote for people with prior felony convictions (excluding sex
offenders and murderers) once they have served their time, done
probation, and paid any restitution. One of the primary ways I
engaged with volunteers was by phone banking. My goal was to
recruit volunteers to either come in for a phone bank that I would be
hosting, do one from their home, or table at an event that I set up. I
was the youngest intern by far at the ACLU (all of my co-worker
interns were in college), but I was more than capable of doing all of
the tasks required for the position and I was a valued team member
during my time there.
Served on the Miami Beach Youth Commission
Miami Beach, FL
September 2018 – Present
I was one of eight or so teenagers in the Miami Beach community that
was selected to participate in this Commission. I was chosen to
represent Commissioner Mark Sammuelian after submitting my
resume and being interviewed. I met monthly with community-aware
teenagers and a liaison to the Miami Beach City Commission and
talked about some of the issues within the community, and then
helped to come up with ways to fix them. Some of the bills I proposed
actually made its way up to the Miami Beach City Commission
meetings and the Commissioners voted on my ideas.
Activities
This year will be my fifth year rowing at Miami Beach Rowing Club.
I row six days a week (2 and a half hours a day) year round.
I am an active member in the Miami Beach Senior High School
Debate Team/Club. I participate in tournaments and attend weekly
practices. This accurately demonstrates my skill of being able to think
quickly on my feet and to adapt to different situations (or in this case,
words) thrown at me.
Awards
1st Place- Novice Public Forum Debate
November 2017
This was at the 2nd tournament hosted by South Florida Catholic

current issues and rotates on a monthly basis. My partner and I went
5-0 in this tournament.
