Beach, including those of a purely advisory nature, are required to comply with Miami-Dade County Financial
Disclosure Requirements.
One of the following forms must be filled with the City Clerk of Miami Beach, 1700 Convention Center Drive,
Miami Beach, Florida, no later than 12:00 noon of July 1, of each year:
1. A "Source of Income Statement;" or
2. A "Statement of Financial Interests (Form 1)¹ ;" or
3. A Copy of your latest Federal Income Tax Return.
Failure to file one of these forms, pursuant to the Miami-Dade County Code, may subject the person to a fine of no

Jonathan Freidin is the Managing Attorney at Freidin Brown, P.A. in Miami, Florida. As a trial lawyer, his
practice focuses on representing plaintiffs in medical malpractice, catastrophic personal injury, wrongful
death, and whistleblower cases at both the state and federal levels.
Prior to joining the firm, Jonathan served for two years as a federal law clerk for the Honorable Donald M.
Middlebrooks in the Southern District of Florida. Since then, Jonathan has been recognized by his peers for
the work he’s done for his clients. He has earned an AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubbell and
in 2016 was selected to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s “40 Under 40 Outstanding Lawyers of South Florida”
list. He has been named as a “Rising Star” by SuperLawyers; an “Up and Comer” of the Florida Legal Elite

As to his community involvement, Jonathan serves on the Board of Directors of SAVE, Inc. (formerly “SAVE

Endorsement Committee. Jonathan currently serves on the Miami Beach Planning Board, and previously
Vice Chair of the Art Deco Cultural District Panel, and before that he was the Chair of the Safety, Security,
and Infrastructure Subcommittee of the Mayor’s Panel on Ocean Drive.
Jonathan’s recent cases of interest include Leviston v. Curtis James Jackson III, a/k/a 50 Cent ($7m jury
verdict against the rapper “50 Cent” for the wrongful dissemination of a sex tape); Client v. Pediatrix Medical
Group ($4.6m jury verdict for a child with retinopathy of prematurity due to hospital negligence); Client v.
Baptist Hospital of Miami ($1m jury verdict for hospital nursing negligence); and U.S. ex rel. Graves v. Plaza
Medical Centers, Corp. ($7m recovery in a non-intervened qui tam case alleging Medicare fraud).
Jonathan graduated cum laude from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he served as an
Editor on the Florida Law Review and received book awards for Appellate Advocacy and Child, Parent, &
the State. Jonathan earned his undergraduate degree summa cum laude from the George Washington
University. He is admitted to practice in Florida state courts, as well as the United States District Courts for
the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida.
